Manufacturers,
utilities and the government offer a wide range of
financial incentives and rebates for including energy-saving
products and technologies in construction and remodeling.
Because these programs change all the time, Beechwood
stays on top of what’s current, explaining
to you what incentives are available both now and in the
near future, and exactly how you can benefit.

Federal Tax Credits Still
Available
The Energy Policy Act
of 2005 first established energy efficiency tax credits
that were available in 2006 & 2007. Most of these
tax credits compensated for 10% of the cost, up to $500.
On October 3, 2008,
President Bush signed the Emergency Economic Stabilization
Act of 2008 (also known as the “Bailout Bill”).
This put many of the tax credits back in place for 2009,
and increased the credit to 30%.
On February 17, 2009,
President Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment
Act of 2009 (also known as the "Stimulus Bill"),
which, among other provisions, extended the tax credits
to 2010. |
